Sweet Meat Runner
Company: OneEyeAnt
Published: October 2016
Platforms: Android, iOS
Developed using:
Unity, PlayFab, Spine2D, GameAnalytics, MoPub
Endless runner with an innovative social tweak: Twitter users can change the gameplay to all active players in real-time by using deadly tweets.
My role in the project:
I worked as Full stack Game Developer, implementing features both client and server side. The project used Playfab as backend, taking advantage of its Cloudscript to create custom logic.
Tasks I worked on:
UI animated with Spine2D
Performance optimization on both client and server, leading to reduced use of memory and battery consumption on mobile devices as well as improving response time from server requests
Asset loading and content updates using Unity’s Asset Bundles
Twitter API integration (REST, Streaming)
Google Play and App Store integration through Unity IAP
Analytics and Telemetry using GameAnalytics
Ad mediation using MoPub’s platform along with multiple ad providers
Gacha-like mechanic using weight based probability
PlayFab integration and authentication, as well as all backend logic using PlayFab's Cloudscript (based on Javascript)
Once upon a time, there were cute characters running happily… against lovely threats like chainsaws, minefields, kicking unicorns, storms of burning chickens, and a lot more tender obstacles & dangers.
Sweet Meat is the first endless runner ever in which success or failure doesn’t depend on player’s skills or developer’s mood, it also depends on Twitter users’ evil desires. Everyone can send threats to all active players in real-time!
Beautiful hand-painted graphics combined with funny cartoonish violence provides never-ending fun!
